It's been over three years since my last post on Making Cents of It. With all the deal blogs out there, I couldn't compete so I just stopped.

I have archived this blog and redirected the homepage to a new landing page for all my websites.

$10 Off at Yankee Candle (No Minimum)

Normally when I randomly find a coupon on Facebook, I'm a little weary. This coupon however, is located directly on Yankee Candle's website. Expiring today, November 15, 2015, there is a coupon for $10 off at Yankee Candles with no minimum purchase required.

This coupon might still not be valid. Looking at the URL, it has "email"in the middle and the fine print says "one time use coupon" which means it might have been intended for a single person and not for mass reproduction online.

If you are going near a mall that has a Yankee Candles, it can't hurt to bring this coupon along with you. They might say no, but they might accept it.

• April 18-19 - opening weekend of National Park Week
• August 25 - National Park Service Birthday
• September 26 - National Public Lands Day
• November 11 - Veterans Day

This week at Office Depot, you can get a bunch of pens, pencils, and mailing labels for free after mail-in rebate. These deals are part of the weekly flier so make sure you make your purchases before August 22, 2015.

Don't Believe Everything You Read Online

Once again, I have seen a lot of people sharing images on social media. The images are from a specific brand and have text on top. The issue is, anyone with a computer can create these images and they don't come from the actual companies. I do not want to post the image and continue spreading the lie, but please know it's related to coffee.

So how can you make sure a deal is real? See if it's posted by the company either on their website or official social media outlet.

When checking a social media page, look for the verification checkmark to make sure it's the real site. Many scammers are making minor changes and pretending to me the real company. For example: Disney_World and Disney.World are not the same as Walt Disney World.

Free Premium Apps for Android on Amazon

You can currently get free premium apps on Amazon. These apps normally range in price but all normally cost money. I noticed a few are repeats of the last time they offered this promotion but there are also a few new apps listed.

Remember if you select the apps on Amazon's website they will stay in your cloud but not take space on your device unless you want to download it. Some of the apps will work on all Android devices while others will only function on Kindles.

Free K-Cup Sampler from Walmart

Walmart is currently offering a k-cup sampler pack as part of their back to school promotions. I'm not sure when this promotion will end but I'm sure they will run out of samplers soon. Enjoy!
