Earth Week Reminders

.

Every year on April 22, we celebrate Earth Day. Since the 1970's Earth Day has inspired awareness and appreciation for the environment.  In some areas, the entire month of April or the week surrounding Earth Day are celebrated in schools and communities.

The past few weeks, I posted different promotions that stores will be having in honor of Earth Day.  Here is a rundown of all the promotions I have heard about.  If you know others, please leave a comment.

A&P - Register online for a paperless coupon added to your loyalty card for a free reusable shopping bag.

CafePress - Throughout the month of April, you can get a free ($1.25 for shipping) Earth Day bag made from recycled plastic bottles.  You can also vote for a picture in the Earth Day contest.

CVS - Get a free green tag after register rewards.  Pay $0.99 and get $0.99 off your next purchase.

Disney Store - Bring six used water or soda bottles to your local Disney Store on April 22, 2010 and you will get a Friends for Change youth hat.  Walt Disney was a pioneer in the conservation of the planet.  In fact, Animal Kingdom in Florida was opened on April 22, 1998, with that date being chosen because it was Earth Day.

Earthbound Farm - Get a free shopping bag when you take an online quiz.  You must score 100% but they give you hints and let you keep changing your answers until they are all correct.  They have set times listed on their website when the first 4,000 people will get a bag.

The Food Emporium - Register online for a paperless coupon added to your loyalty card for a free reusable shopping bag.

Hanes - Get a free t-shirt and have a tree planted in your honor when you buy three Hanes products.

Home Depot - Get a free water-saving faucet aerator.

Kellogg's - Get a reusable shopping bag when you mail in two proofs of purchase and $1.75 for shipping.

Kroger - Free reusable shopping bag just for entering their contest.

National Parks - Free admission to all the United States national parks from April 17-25, 2010 for National Park Week.

Origins - Trade a bottle of your old cleanser for a free bottle of Origins' environmentally friendly products.

Paperback Swap - While not an Earth Day promotion, this is a great time to look into Paperback Swap which allows you to swap books with people around the country instead of collecting dust on a self.

Pathmark - Register online for a paperless coupon added to your loyalty card for a free reusable shopping bag.

Super Fresh Food - Register online for a paperless coupon added to your loyalty card for a free reusable shopping bag.

Target - On April 18, 2010 you can get a free reusable shopping bag with any purchase.  Target has always been a partner in protecting the environment and offers a $0.05 refund when you bring your own bag.  It might not seem like a lot, but those nickels add up fast when you shop often.

Waldbaums - Register online for a paperless coupon added to your loyalty card for a free reusable shopping bag.

Wegmans - On April 24, 2010 you can recycle a plastic bag full of more plastic bags and Wegmans will give you a reusable shopping bag for your recycling efforts.

Zavers! - Register online for a paperless coupon added to your loyalty card for a free reusable shopping bag.

I'm not sure what that link is for Joey. It looks like a site just selling stickers. If one of my readers were to buy your sticker, where does the money go?

The deals I posted are all for free deals to celebrate Earth Day. Thank you!
